I live and work in Portland, OR. I was born and raised in the rugged mountains, desolate plains and lush valleys of Idaho.
I am: a teacher turned designer, a believer in collaboration, an illustrative designer, a designy illustrator, a level thirty Photoshop wizard, the fourth Lloyd in a long line of Lloyds, a lover of album art and rock posters, a skateboarder, a punk, a graffiti artist, a car-free cyclist, a hands-on hand-made enthusiast, a father – husband and still a teacher in many ways.
I have found: that challenging work keeps you relevant – fresh – curious and hard-working, that by letting others into your creative process you become better at communicating your ideas, that the web provides infinite opportunities for collaboration – discovery and spectacle, that there is an abundance of talented people creating amazing work all over the world, and that the people I admire inspire me to work harder.
I want: to go someplace new, to collaborate, to learn some new spells, to work with people who inspire me, to have fun doing what I love, and to create meaningful and impactful visual experiences.
